We are looking for a bubbly Activities Aide that has previous work experience in a long-term care or a short-term rehab setting displaying passion, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoys caring for the elderly population.

  • Assist therapeutic and recreational activities for geriatric patients.
  • Assist with managing and creating activities and events for residents.
  • Assist with creating programming for visual and hearing impaired, physical limitations and cognitive deficits.
  • Schedule in person, zoom and outdoor family visits.
  • Assist with hair salon appointments.
  • Support with entertainment, birthday celebrations and arts and crafts activities.
  • Follow meet state and federal regulations and those programs are safe and appropriate for seniors.

We are a skilled nursing facility seeking Weekend Night RN Supervisor to join our team. We are a committed to providing quality health care and are looking for an energetic professional ready to join our team.

  • Must have experience with electronic medical records (Point Click Care), have knowledge of the LTC State and Federal Regulations, MDS and care planning. Clinical experience on a med/surgical unit or skilled nursing unit is a must.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in the state of Maryland.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, in person and over the phone any new findings and treatment plans with physicians, nurses, residents and families.
  • Prepare and administer medication.
  • Make rounds frequently to identify and assist with appropriate training.
  • Ability to promote a healthy working environment and resolve clinical and personnel issues.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English language.
  • Administrative duties such as reports, charts, evaluations, completing medical forms and disciplinary actions.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Respond to request from residents, physicians, and team members.
  • Perform routine charting duties.
  • Maintain daily census report.
  • Maintain dispensed medication records.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous relationship with GNA’s as well as other team members.
  • Identify any changes in patient’s condition.
  • Obtain specimens for lab tests.
  • Ability to administer: Catherization, Tube feeding, Suction, Apply and change dressing and bandages as well as colostomy and drainage bags.
  • Participate in continuing education programs.

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)

Geriatric Nursing Assitant

The primary purpose of the position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

  • Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty
  • Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids
  • Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care (brushing teeth/dentures, oral hygiene, special mouth care, etc.)
  • Assist residents with bath functions (i.e. bed bath, tub or shower bath, etc.) as directed
  • Assist resident with hair care functions (i.e. facial hair, under arms, on legs, etc.) as instructed
  • Keep residents dry (i.e. change gown, clothing, linen, etc. when it becomes wet or soiled.)
  • Change bed linens. Keep linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under the resident
  • Make beds (occupied and unoccupied.)  Put extra covers on beds as requested
  • Position bedfast residents in correct and comfortable position
  • Take to bathroom, offer bedpan/urinal, portable commode
  • Maintain intake and output records as instructed
  • Must possess, at a minimum, a high school education
  • Must be a licensed Geriatric Nursing Assistant or licensed Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Must be able to read, write speak, and understand the English language
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
